Abstract
A cleaning device and a method is for cleaning a lens. The lens is supplied to a respective cleaning station by a handling device and is held in a rotating manner by a rotatable holder.

A cleaning device for cleaning at least one lens, the cleaning device comprising:
- at least one cleaning station;
- and
- at least one handling device for feeding the lens to the at least one cleaning station;
- wherein the handling device has at least one rotatable holder for rotatable holding of the lens.

A method of cleaning at least one lens, comprising;
- providing a cleaning device for cleaning the at least one lens, the cleaning device comprising;
- at least one cleaning station;
- and
- at least one handling device for feeding the lens to the at least one cleaning station;
- wherein the handling device has at least one rotatable holder for rotatable holding of the lens
- carrying out a cleaning procedure in the at least one cleaning station;
- wherein;
- the at least one lens is held in a rotating manner in the at least one cleaning station at least during the cleaning procedure;
- and/or
- the at least one lens rotates about an axis of rotation and a brush rotates about an axis of rotation during the cleaning procedure, said axis of rotation being arranged substantially horizontally and/or at least substantially perpendicular or transversely to the axis of rotation;
- and/or
- the at least one lens and the brush rotate at least substantially perpendicular or transversely to one another during the cleaning procedure.
