Abstract
A tissue repair guide includes a handle and a drill guide. The drill guide may include a channel. The drill guide may be locked in place using a securement component, for example a spring-loaded cap.
Claims16
A tissue repair guide, comprising:
- a handle;
- a drill guide having a proximal end, a distal end, and a channel extending from the proximal end to the distal end, the drill guide configured to engage the handle;
- a plurality of spring-loaded caps configured to engage a plurality of grooves of the drill guide to selectively lock the drill guide in place with respect to the handle;
- and
- a reference member having a distal end, the reference member configured to engage the handle, and the reference member comprising an engagement component on the distal end, the engagement component configured to engage a patient's bone.

A method of repairing a tissue, comprising:
- providing a tissue repair guide, wherein the tissue repair guide comprises:
- a handle;
- a drill guide having a proximal end, a distal end, and a channel extending from the proximal end to the distal end, the drill guide configured to engage the handle;
- a plurality of spring-loaded caps configured to selectively lock the drill guide in place with respect to the handle;
- a reference member having a distal end, the reference member configured to engage the handle, and the reference member comprising an engagement component on the distal end, the engagement component configured to engage a patient's bone;
- and
- introducing the reference member to a surgical site such that the reference member engages the patient's bone;
- introducing the drill guide to a surgical site such that the drill guide engages the patient's bone;
- positioning the plurality of spring-loaded caps such that the drill guide is locked in place with respect to the handle;
- and
- advancing a drill pin through the channel of the drill guide such that a tunnel is formed in the patient's bone.
