Systems and methods for hdr video capture with a mobile device

A device for high dynamic range (HDR) image capture, the device comprising:

• at least two image sensors fixed in a co-planar arrangement to a substrate;
• and an optical splitting system configured to reflect at least about 90% of incident light received through an aperture of said device onto said image sensors, to thereby capture a high dynamic range image, said optical splitting system comprises a beamsplitter configured to reflect at least a portion of said incident light to a reflective member configured to reflect said portion of incident light back towards said beamsplitter to be transmitted through said beamsplitter and onto said image sensors.

A device for high dynamic range (HDR) image capture, the device comprising:

• at least two image sensors fixed in a co-planar arrangement to a substrate;
• and an optical splitting system configured to reflect at least about 90% of incident light received through an aperture of said device onto said image sensors, to thereby capture a high dynamic range image, said optical splitting system comprises a beamsplitter configured to transmit a first portion of said incident light to a first reflective member for reflecting said first portion of said incident light onto said image sensors and further configured to reflect a second portion of said incident light to a second reflective member for reflecting said second portion of said incident light back to said beamsplitter and transmitted therethrough and onto said image sensors.
