Abstract

Provided herein is a system and method for vibration mitigation at a sensor of a vehicle. Some systems include: at least one sensor; a bracket configured to support the at least one sensor; a sheet metal structure having a first major surface along which the sheet metal structure extends, and a second major surface opposite the first major surface; and a backing plate where the bracket is disposed adjacent to the first major surface of the sheet metal structure, where the backing plate is disposed adjacent to the second major surface of the sheet metal structure, and where two or more fasteners secure the backing plate to the bracket through the sheet metal structure.

Dependent claims

A system for vibration mitigation at a sensor comprising:

a bracket configured to support at least one sensor;
a sheet metal structure having a first major surface along which the sheet metal structure extends, and a second major surface opposite the first major surface;
and
a backing plate, wherein the bracket is disposed adjacent to the first major surface of the sheet metal structure, wherein the backing plate is disposed adjacent to the second major surface of the sheet metal structure, and wherein two or more fasteners secure the backing plate to the bracket through the sheet metal structure.
