Policy orchestration framework to support end-to-end (e2e) multi access network policy architecture with top-to-bottom policy orchestration

A Policy Orchestrator, comprising:

• a memory storing computer-readable instructions;
• and
• a processor connected to the memory, wherein the processor is configured to execute the computer-readable instructions to perform operations to:
• provide an end-to-end view between a frontend of a network having a first plurality of layers and a backend of the network having a second plurality of layers;
• and
• coordinate end-to-end policy decisions for the first plurality of layers of the frontend of the network and for the second plurality of layers of the backend of the network based on the end-to-end view.

A non-transitory computer-readable media having computer-readable instructions stored thereon, which when executed by a processor causes the processor to perform operations comprising:

• providing a frontend network having a first plurality of layers supporting network services;
• providing a backend network having a second plurality of layers supporting the network services;
• and
• providing policy orchestration by providing an end-to-end view between the frontend network and the backend network, and coordinating end-to-end policy decisions for the first plurality of layers of the frontend and for the second plurality of layers of the backend based on the end-to-end view.
