Abstract
In accordance with an embodiment, a method includes determining a random access resource, where a quantity of frequency domain resources of the random access resource is greater than a quantity of frequency domain resources of a maximum transmission bandwidth of a terminal device; and sending a physical random access channel (PRACH) on the random access resource.

A method, comprising:
- determining a random access resource, wherein a quantity of frequency domain resources of the random access resource is greater than a quantity of frequency domain resources of a maximum transmission bandwidth of a terminal device;
- and
- sending a physical random access channel (PRACH) on the random access resource.
A method, comprising:
- determining a random access resource, wherein a quantity of frequency domain resources of the random access resource is greater than a quantity of frequency domain resources of a maximum transmission bandwidth of a terminal device;
- and
- receiving a physical random access channel (PRACH) on the random access resource.
An apparatus, comprising:
- one or more processors;
- and
- at least one memory coupled to the one or more processors with instructions stored thereon, wherein the instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, enable the apparatus to:
- determine a random access resource, wherein a quantity of frequency domain resources of the random access resource is greater than a quantity of frequency domain resources of a maximum transmission bandwidth of a terminal device;
- and
- send a physical random access channel (PRACH) on the random access resource.
