Abstract
An additive for use in an electrolyte for a rechargeable lithium battery, the electrolyte including the same, and a rechargeable lithium battery including the electrolyte are provided. The additive includes a compound with two acid anhydride functional groups linked through an aliphatic or aromatic ring.
Claims20
An electrolyte additive, the electrolyte additive being represented by Chemical Formula 1:
- in Chemical Formula 1,
- A is a substituted or unsubstituted C3 to C10 aliphatic ring, or a substituted or unsubstituted C6 to C20 aromatic ring;
- and
- X1 and X2 are each independently O or S,
- wherein the electrolyte additive is for a rechargeable lithium battery.
