Light emitting device and display apparatus having the same

A light emitting device, comprising:

• an insulator;
• a light emission region disposed on the insulator, the light emission region including:
• a first LED stack configured to emit light having a first wavelength and including a first conductivity type semiconductor layer and a second conductivity type semiconductor layer;
• a second LED stack configured to emit light having a second wavelength and including a first conductivity type semiconductor layer and a second conductivity type semiconductor layer;
• and
• a third LED stack configured to emit light having a third wavelength and including a first conductivity type semiconductor layer and a second conductivity type semiconductor layer;
• a plurality of pillars, the pillars including:
• a first pillar commonly electrically connected to the first conductivity type semiconductor layers of the first, second, and third LED stacks;
• and
• a second pillar, a third pillar, and a fourth pillar electrically connected to the second conductivity type semiconductor layers of the first, second, and third LED stacks, respectively;
• an intermediate first connector electrically connecting the first conductivity type semiconductor layer of the second LED stack and the first pillar;
• and
• a lower first connector electrically connecting the first conductivity type semiconductor layer of the third LED stack and the first pillar,
• wherein the insulator includes four outer-most side surfaces defining an area within which the first, second, and third LED stacks are disposed, and the first, second, third, and fourth pillars at least partially cover the four outer-most side surfaces of the insulator.
