Abstract
A user control device for a transporter. The user control device can communicate with the transporter via electrical interface(s) that can facilitate communication and data processing among the user interface device and controllers that can control the movement of the transporter. The user control device can perform automated actions based on the environment in which the transporter operates and the user's desired movement of the transporter. External applications can enable monitoring and control of the transporter.
Claims22
Method of storing a transporter comprising:
- identifying a plane in segmented data;
- identifying a door and/or a doorway in the plane;
- positioning the transporter for entering the doorway based on said identifying;
- and
- generating a signal configured for moving the transporter through the doorway;
- wherein the transporter responds to the signal.
Method of negotiating an elevator comprising:
- generating a first signal configured for moving the transporter into the elevator;
- determining a geometry of the elevator;
- and
- generating a second signal configured for moving the transporter to a location in the elevator based on the geometry;
- wherein the transporter responds to the first signal and the second signal.
Method of negotiating a door comprising:
- determining a location, a width and a hinge side of the door, and a swing of the door based on said determining;
- and
- generating a signal configured for moving the transporter through the door based on the swing and the width;
- wherein the transporter responds to the signal.
