A method of reducing a malodor, the method comprising contacting a malodor source with a composition,
- wherein the malodor source comprises a surface, which comprises at least one bacterium selected from the group consisting of S. aureus, S. haemolyticus, and E. coli, and which emits a malodor, and
- wherein the composition comprises a compound selected from the group consisting of 4-methyl-2-pentylpyridine, 4-ethyl-2-pentylpyridine, and 4-propyl-2-pentylpyridine.
