Abstract
The present invention provides compositions and methods for treatment or prevention of tumor growth, fibrosis, acute lung injury or a combination thereof. In one embodiment, the composition comprises a peptide derived from the C-terminal region of endostatin.
Claims17
A composition comprising a therapeutic agent comprising an activity selected from the group consisting of anti-tumor activity, anti-fibrotic activity, and a combination thereof, wherein the agent is a C-terminal endostatin-derived peptide comprising an amino acid sequence selected from the group consisting of at least one of SEQ ID NOs:
- 8-27, and variants, derivatives, mutants, or fragments thereof;
- or an isolated nucleic acid encoding a C-terminal endostatin-derived peptide comprising an amino acid sequence selected from the group consisting of at least one of SEQ ID NOs:
- 8-27, and variants, derivatives, mutants, or fragments thereof.
A method of treating or preventing a disease or disorder in a subject in need thereof, the method comprises administering to the subject an effective amount of a composition comprising an agent, wherein the agent is a C-terminal endostatin-derived peptide comprising an amino acid sequence selected from the group consisting of at least one of SEQ ID NOs:
- 8-27, and variants, derivatives, mutants, or fragments thereof;
- or an isolated nucleic acid encoding a C-terminal endostatin-derived peptide comprising an amino acid sequence selected from the group consisting of at least one of SEQ ID NOs:
- 8-27, and variants, derivatives, mutants, or fragments thereof.
