Abstract
Compositions comprising liposomes composed of whole cell membrane fraction are provided. The liposomes may be attached to, or encapsulate a pharmaceutical agent. Also provided are methods of generating and using these liposomes.
Claims8
A composition-of matter comprising a pharmaceutical agent and a spherical particle composed of a whole cell membrane fraction, wherein the spherical particle exhibits native membrane symmetry and expression of native markers, wherein said pharmaceutical agent is exogenous to the cell from which said whole cell membrane is obtained and wherein said pharmaceutical agent is adsorbed or expressed on to the outer or inner surface of the spherical particle.
