A catalyst for preparing 1,3-cyclopentanediol by hydrogenation of 4-hydroxy-2-cyclopentenone, comprising
- a carrier including α-Al2O3, and
- an active metal supported on the carrier.
A method for preparing 1,3-cyclopentanediol, comprising
- preparing 1,3-cyclopentanediol by hydrogenating 4-hydroxy-2-cyclopentenone in the presence of a catalyst,
- wherein the catalyst includes
- a carrier including α-Al2O3, and
- an active metal supported on a carrier.
