Abstract
A liquid ejection head and a liquid ejection apparatus that can suppress the occurrence of ejection failure are provided. A pressing plate moves as the volume of a first pressure adjusting chamber decreases, thereby increasing a flow resistance of a passage connected to a supply passage through a second discharge passage relative to a flow resistance of a passage connected to the supply passage through a first discharge passage.

A liquid ejection head comprising:
- an ejection port for ejecting a liquid;
- an ejection element for generating a pressure to eject the liquid from the ejection port;
- a pressure chamber provided with the ejection element and communicated with the ejection port;
- and
- a first pressure adjusting unit capable of changing a volume according to the pressure of the liquid and adjusting the pressure of the liquid,
- the liquid ejection head further comprising:
- a first passage connecting the first pressure adjusting unit and the pressure chamber;
- a first outlet provided in a vertically upper part of the first pressure adjusting unit;
- a first discharge passage connecting the first outlet and the first passage;
- a second outlet provided in the first pressure adjusting unit;
- and
- a second discharge passage connecting the second outlet and the first passage, wherein
- in a case where the volume of the first pressure adjusting unit decreases, the liquid ejection head includes a flow resistance increasing unit for increasing a flow resistance in a passage through which the liquid flows from the first pressure adjusting unit to the first passage through the second outlet and the second discharge passage, with respect to a flow resistance in a passage through which the liquid flows from the first pressure adjusting unit to the first passage through the first outlet and the first discharge passage.

A liquid ejection head comprising:
- an ejection port for ejecting a liquid;
- an ejection element for generating a pressure to eject the liquid from the ejection port;
- a pressure chamber provided with the ejection element and communicated with the ejection port;

- a first discharge passage connecting the first outlet and the first passage;
- a second outlet provided in the first pressure adjusting unit;
- and
- a second discharge passage connecting the second outlet and the first passage, wherein
- while the plate is displaced in a direction of decreasing the volume of the first pressure adjusting unit, a distance between the first outlet and the plate in a displacement direction of the plate is longer than a distance between the second outlet and the plate in the displacement direction of the plate.

A liquid ejection apparatus capable of mounting a liquid ejection head comprising:
- an ejection port for ejecting a liquid,
- an ejection element for generating a pressure to eject the liquid from the ejection port,

- in a case where the volume of the first pressure adjusting unit decreases, the liquid ejection apparatus includes a flow resistance increasing unit for increasing a flow resistance in a passage through which the liquid flows from the first pressure adjusting unit to the first passage through the second outlet and the second discharge passage, with respect to a flow resistance in a passage through which the liquid flows from the first pressure adjusting unit to the first passage through the first outlet and the first discharge passage.
