Abstract
A septic lateral clearing device is disclosed that provides a flexible structure and hydraulic burst for a more complete clearing of septic laterals. The septic lateral clearing device comprises a quick-release connection to a manifold for the delivery of up to 300 psi hydraulic bursts and a flexible assembly to allow for the delivery of the hydraulic bursts radially along the septic lateral construct. The device includes malleable fins for assuring the clearing of corrugated material and a hydro-jet in front of the septic lateral clearing device.
Claims20
A septic lateral clearing device that provides a user with a tool for restoring flow to septic laterals, the septic lateral clearing device comprising:
- a hose component;
- a manifold component;
- a first and a second gasket component;
- and
- a hydro-jet component;
- and
- wherein the hose component is secured to a first gasket component;
- wherein the manifold component is secured between the first and the second gasket components;
- wherein the hydro-jet component is secured to the second gasket component;
- and
- wherein the manifold component acts to expel air to break up debris;
- and
- further wherein the hydro-jet component acts to expel fluid for clearing of debris in front of the second gasket component to efficiently clear a septic lateral.
A septic lateral clearing device that provides a user with a tool for restoring flow to septic laterals, the septic lateral clearing device comprising:
- a hose component comprising a protective sheath component which incorporates a hydraulic hose and a hydro-jet hose together;
- a manifold component that is a radial delivery body that comprises a plurality of air punch nozzle components to direct hydraulic air to sides of the septic lateral;
- a first and a second gasket component that are a ribbed circular rubberized gasket placed in front of and placed behind the manifold component;
- and
- a hydro-jet component;
- and
- wherein the hose component passes through a center of the first gasket component and will connect to the manifold component with a quick connect connection;
- wherein the manifold component is placed between pieces of flexible rubber composite pipes and between the first and the second gasket components, such that the manifold component can transverse uneven septic laterals and be maneuvered around bends, as needed;
- wherein the gasket component comprises a plurality of malleable fins at various locations along a length of the first and the second gasket components, and positioned along a circumference of the first and the second gasket components to fit into uneven spaces;
- wherein the hydro-jet component is secured to the second gasket component and comprises a plurality of nozzles to allow fluid to be expelled into the septic lateral;
- and
- wherein the manifold component acts to emit hydraulic bursts to break up debris against walls of the septic lateral;
- and
- further wherein the hydro-jet component acts to expel fluid for clearing of debris in front of the second gasket component to efficiently clear a septic lateral.
A method of clearing a septic lateral, the method comprising the following steps:
- connecting the septic lateral clearing device to a compressor and a fluid pump;
- inserting the septic lateral clearing device into the septic lateral drain tiles;
- applying hydraulic pressure and hydro-jet pressure to the septic lateral clearing device to start to clear the septic lateral drain tiles via bursts of air and high-pressure fluids;
- advancing the septic lateral clearing device down the length of the septic lateral drain tiles to clear all debris from the drain tiles;
- and
- removing the septic lateral device from one septic lateral drain tile and placing into another drain tile to repeat the process.
