Multi object surface image (mosi) format

A method comprising:

• obtaining source view data from a plurality of sensors,
• wherein the source view data comprises source texture data of a scene and source depth data of the scene,
• wherein the scene comprise at least two objects;
• obtaining the position of the at least two objects;
• and
• generating at least two stacks of layers in a virtual scene for the at least two objects,
• wherein each stack of layers of the at least two stacks of layers corresponds to a different object of the at least two objects,
• wherein the position of each stack of layers in the virtual scene is based on the position of the corresponding object,
• wherein each stack of layers of the at least two layers comprises a plurality of layers,
• wherein each layer of the plurality of layers comprises object texture data and object transparency data for the corresponding object.
