System diagnosis method in an energy management system

An energy management system for electrical energy and at least one additional form of energy, having a system diagnosis system that executes a system diagnosis method, comprising:

• acquiring actual values of one or more operating parameters by means of the system diagnosis,
• comparing the acquired actual values of the operating parameters with target values of the operating parameters by means of the system diagnosis in order to find a deviation,
• determining, by means of the system diagnosis, whether the deviation of the actual values of the operating parameters from the target values of the operating parameters exceeds a deviation threshold value,
• determining that there is a malfunction and in what part of the energy management system the malfunction occurs when the deviation exceeds the deviation threshold value,
• assigning the determined malfunction to predefined malfunction groups on the basis of the deviation of the one or more operating parameters, and
• producing a notification signal in response to the determined malfunction.
