Abstract
An exercise machine is configured for an exercise motion, and the exercise machine includes an input module configured to receive an input from a user. The input module includes a sensor configured to sense strain forces caused when the user engages the input module and to generate a signal corresponding to the sensed strain forces. A control system is configured to control the exercise machine based on the sensed strain forces.

An exercise machine configured for an exercise motion, the exercise machine comprising:
- an input module configured to receive an input from a user, the input module includes a sensor configured to sense strain forces caused when the user engages the input module and to generate a signal corresponding to the sensed strain forces;
- and
- a control system configured to control the exercise machine based on the sensed strain forces.
An input module configured to receive input from a user using an exercise machine which is configured for an exercise motion, the input module comprising:
- a printed circuit board assembly;
- and
- a sensor coupled to the printed circuit board assembly, the sensor configured to sense strain forces in the printed circuit board assembly caused when the user engages the input module and to generate a signal corresponding to the sensed strain forces.
