Wheelbarrow lift for dumpster

A system for docking with, lifting, and depositing debris from, a wheelbarrow into a dumpster, said system comprising:

• a lifting structure comprising a pair of tracks comprising a lower portion which extends longitudinally in a primarily vertical direction along an exterior of said dumpster and an upper portion extending longitudinally rearward in a curve shape to hook over, and partially into, and an upper opening of the dumpster when said lifting structure is installed at said dumpster, said lifting structure further comprising cross supports, spaced apart from one another and extending between the pair of tracks, and an attachment substructure provided at the upper portion of the pair of tracks for selectively mounting the lifting structure to a lip of the dumpster;
• and
• a vehicle for travel along the tracks of the lifting structure, said vehicle comprising:
• one or more members forming a support structure;
• a first member and a second member, each of which extend longitudinally in a direction at least primarily normal to local portion of a longitudinal axis of said pair of tracks;
• one or more wheels connected to said support structure and configured to be secured within an exterior facing portion of the pair of tracks;
• one or more motors connected to said support structure and configured to, when activated, drive at least one of said one or more wheels;
• and
• one or more batteries connected to said support structure and electrically connected to said one or more motors;
• and
• a wheelbarrow comprising a first receptacle and a second receptacle, said first and second receptacles configured to receive the first and second members, respectively, wherein said first and second receptacle extend longitudinally along a longitudinal axis of the wheelbarrow such that said wheelbarrow is docked and undocked at said docking portion by forward and rearward manual advancement and retraction of said wheelbarrow in a direction at least primarily aligned with the longitudinal axis of the wheelbarrow.

A method for docking with, lifting, and depositing debris from, a wheelbarrow into a dumpster, said method comprising:

• attaching a lifting structure to the dumpster by clamping one or more clamps of an attachment substructure of the lifting structure to an upper opening of the dumpster such that an upper portion of a pair of tracks extends over the upper opening of the dumpster and a distal end of the upper portion of the pair of tracks extends towards the upper opening of the dumpster and a lower portion of the pair of tracks extends along an exterior wall of said dumpster, wherein the lower portion of the pair of tracks extends longitudinally in a primarily vertical direction, and wherein the upper portion of the pair of tracks extending longitudinally rearward in a curve shape;
• loading debris into the wheelbarrow;
• advancing the wheelbarrow to the lifting structure to engage with a docking portion of a vehicle engaged to the tracks of the lifting structure;
• and receiving, at a controller for the vehicle and from a remote control presenting a user interface, data indicating user selection of one of options provided at the user interface, and in response, commanding a motor of the vehicle to operate in accordance with the user selection by activating the motor and thereby causing movement of the vehicle along the lifting structure, said options of said user interface comprising:
• moving the vehicle upward along the pair of tracks, moving the vehicle downward along the pair of tracks, dumping the debris of the wheelbarrow into the dumpster, and shaking the wheelbarrow;
• wherein said vehicle comprises wheels engaging said pair of tracks and a docking portion configured to receive, and frictionally engage upon lifting, a portion of the wheelbarrow.
