Instant replay for video conferences

A system comprising:

• a non-transitory computer-readable medium storing processor-executable program instructions;
• and
• a processor communicatively coupled to the non-transitory computer-readable medium for executing the computer-executable program instructions, wherein executing the computer-executable program instructions configures the processor to perform operations comprising:
• receiving, by a virtual conference provider from a first client device of a plurality of client devices connected to a virtual meeting, a request for a replay segment from a second client device of the plurality of client devices;
• transmitting, to the second client device during the virtual meeting, the request for the replay segment;
• receiving, from the second client device during the virtual meeting, replay segment data from the second client device, the replay segment data comprising data recorded by the second client device during the virtual meeting;
• and
• transmitting, to the first client device, the replay segment data.

A non-transitory computer-readable medium comprising computer-executable instructions, wherein when executed by a processing device, the computer-executable program instructions cause the processing device to perform operations comprising:

• receiving, by a virtual conference provider from a first client device of a plurality of client devices connected to a virtual meeting, a request for a replay segment from a second client device of the plurality of client devices;
• transmitting, to the second client device during the virtual meeting, the request for the replay segment;
• receiving, from the second client device during the virtual meeting, replay segment data from the second client device, the replay segment data comprising data recorded by the second client device during the virtual meeting;
• and
• transmitting, to the first client device, the replay segment data.
