Histogram based ar/mr object image edge sharpening/enhancement

A method of display processing, comprising:

• obtaining an image of an environment captured by a camera and a frame that is to be displayed;
• computing a first histogram based on the image and a second histogram based on the frame;
• adding noise to the frame based on the first histogram and the second histogram, wherein the noise is distinguishable from at least a portion of the image;
• and
• transmitting the frame including the noise for display on a display device.

A computer-readable medium storing computer executable code, the computer executable code when executed by at least one processor causes the at least one processor to:

• obtain an image of an environment captured by a camera and a frame that is to be displayed;
• compute a first histogram based on the image and a second histogram based on the frame;
• add noise to the frame based on the first histogram and the second histogram, wherein the noise is distinguishable from at least a portion of the image;
• and
• transmit the frame including the noise for display on a display device.
