Automatic back-end initiation of a wide area network action

A system for determining in what manner a payment or funds transfer will be made by a digital application, said system comprising:

• a back-end server operating the digital banking application and including:
• at least one processor for processing data and information;
• a communications interface communicatively coupled to the at least one processor;
• and
• a memory device storing data and executable code that, when executed, causes the at least one processor to:
• provide a number of parameters to be selected by a user that are necessary to perform the payment or funds transfer, where the payment or funds transfer can be performed by different techniques;
• determine which of the techniques the payment or funds transfer will be performed by based on the parameters that the user selects without the user determining that technique;
• and
• cause the payment or funds transfer to be performed by the determined technique.

A method for determining in what manner a payment or funds transfer will be made by a digital application, said method comprising:

• providing a back-end server operating the digital application and including:
• at least one processor for processing data and information;
• a communications interface communicatively coupled to the at least one processor;
• and
• a memory device storing data and executable code, said method causing the at least one processor to:
• provide a number of parameters to be selected by a user that are necessary to perform the payment or funds transfer, where the payment or funds transfer can be performed by different techniques;
• determine which of the techniques the payment or funds transfer will be performed by based on the parameters that the user selects without the user determining that technique;
• and
• cause the payment or funds transfer to be performed by the determined technique.
