Communication method and communication apparatus

A communication method, wherein the method is applicable to an access network device, and comprises:

• sending first configuration information to a terminal device, wherein the first configuration information is used to determine a first time domain resource used by the terminal device to measure a first target carrier;
• and
• when there is a scheduling limitation on a first serving carrier or receiving and sending cannot be performed on the first serving carrier and the first target carrier at the same time:
• skipping scheduling the terminal device on the first serving carrier within reference signal measurement time configuration window duration on the first time domain resource;
• or
• skipping scheduling the terminal device on the first serving carrier on symbols on which a measurement reference signal on the first time domain resource is located, and on a symbol previous to and a symbol next to contiguous symbols on which the measurement reference signal is located;
• and
• wherein the first target carrier and the first serving carrier belong to different bands.

A communication apparatus, wherein the communication apparatus is a terminal device and comprises:

• at least one processor;
• and
• one or more memories coupled to the at least one processor and storing programming instructions for execution by the at least one processor to:
• receive first configuration information from an access network device, wherein the first configuration information is used to determine a first time domain resource used by the terminal device to measure a first target carrier;
• and
• when there is a scheduling limitation on a first serving carrier or receiving and sending cannot be performed on the first serving carrier and the first target carrier at the same time:
• skip, by the terminal device, expecting to perform transmission on the first serving carrier within reference signal measurement time configuration window duration on the first time domain resource;
• or
• skip, by the terminal device, expecting to perform transmission on the first serving carrier on symbols on which a measurement reference signal on the first time domain resource is located, and on a symbol previous to and a symbol next to contiguous symbols on which the measurement reference signal is located;
• and
• wherein the first target carrier and the first serving carrier belong to different bands.
