Synchronization of firewall tables using ethernet virtual private network (evpn) route type

A non-transitory machine-readable medium storing instructions executable by a processing resource, the instructions comprising:

• instructions to receive, at a second virtual tunnel endpoint (VTEP), a first control packet indicating a first firewall table update from a first VTEP, wherein the first control packet is based on an Ethernet Virtual Private Network (EVPN) route type, wherein the EVPN route type is a format for incorporating firewall table updates;
• instructions to synchronize a firewall table at the second VTEP with the first firewall table update based on a local policy;
• instructions to generate a second control packet based on the EVPN route type, wherein the second control packet indicates a second firewall table update in response to an event at the second VTEP;
• instructions to advertise, to a third VTEP, the second control packet specifying the second firewall table update.
