Abstract
A system for wireless power transmission, preferably including one or more power transmitters, detectors, and/or processing modules, and optionally including one or more power receivers and/or auxiliary sensors. A method for field detection, preferably including transmitting power, receiving latent scattering signals, analyzing the scattering signals, and/or acting based on the analysis.
Claims20
A method for field detection, comprising:
- wirelessly transmitting power from a set of one or more transmitters to a set of one or more receivers, comprising transmitting propagating radio frequency (RF) radiation;
- while transmitting the propagating RF radiation, at a detector, receiving a first latent scattering signal at a first time;
- based on the first latent scattering signal, continuing to transmit propagating RF radiation, comprising classifying the first latent scattering signal as nominal;
- and
- while transmitting the propagating RF radiation, at the detector, receiving a second latent scattering signal at a second time after the first time;
- classifying the second latent scattering signal as anomalous;
- and
- in response to classifying the second latent scattering signal as anomalous, altering transmission of the propagating RF radiation.
