Abstract

A method of manufacturing a battery according to the present disclosure includes (a) preparing a battery housing having an opening at one side and a bottom having a through-hole at the other side; (b) fixing an electrode terminal to the through-hole; (c) preparing an electrode assembly including a first electrode tab formed of a first uncoated portion and a second electrode tab formed of a second uncoated portion at upper and lower parts, respectively; (d) inserting the electrode assembly into the battery housing through the opening at one side of the battery housing such that the first electrode tab faces the bottom; (e) electrically connecting the first electrode tab to the electrode terminal; and (f) covering the open end with a cap plate.
