Electrode Having Improved Safety and Method of Manufacturing the Same

A method of manufacturing an electrode, the method comprising:

• preparing a current collector including a main body and an electrode tab formed at one side of the main body;
• coating a coating liquid, which is obtained by dissolving a conducting polymer of which resistance increases when a temperature rises, in an organic solvent, on the current collector;
• forming a conductive coating layer by drying the current collector having the coating liquid coated thereon;
• and
• forming an electrode mixture layer by coating an electrode mixture layer including an electrode active material, on the conductive coating layer,
• wherein the coating liquid is coated on a region including both the main body and the electrode tab.
