Display apparatus and method thereof for guided biometric index measurement

A method for guided biometric index measurement, the method comprising:

• identifying a guide area, of a plurality of areas of a display of a display apparatus, corresponding to a position of a camera;
• displaying a guide image in the guide area on the display;
• receiving input of a measurement image, captured by the camera during display of the guide image in the guide area, of a face of a user positioned at a front surface of the display apparatus;
• and
• identifying a biometric index of the user based on the measurement image.

A non-transitory computer-readable recording medium having stored thereon instructions executable by at least one processor to perform operations comprising:

• identifying a guide area, of a plurality of areas of a display of a display apparatus, corresponding to a position of a camera;
• displaying a guide image in the guide area on the display;
• receiving input of a measurement image, captured by the camera during display of the guide image in the guide area, of a face of a user positioned at a front surface of the display apparatus;
• and
• identifying a biometric index of the user based on the measurement image.
