Abstract
Systems and methods for identifying an object and presenting additional information about the identified object are provided. The techniques of the present invention can allow the user to specify modes to help with identifying objects. Furthermore, the additional information can be provided with different levels of detail depending on user selection. Apparatus for presenting a user with a log of the identified objects is also provided. The user can customize the log by, for example, creating a multi-media album.

A method comprising:
- at an electronic device with one or more processors, one or more sensors, memory, and one or more displays:
- detecting, using the one or more sensors, data corresponding to a first object of a plurality of objects in an environment;
- determining, using the one or more processors, a location of the electronic device in the environment;
- identifying, using one or more processors, the first object based on the data corresponding to the first object and the location of the electronic device in the environment;
- and
- presenting, using the one or more displays, a representation of one or more of the plurality of objects in the environment including the first object using a list of the plurality of objects in the environment that is stored in the memory.
A computing system comprising:
- one or more processors;
- one or more sensors;
- memory;
- one or more displays;
- and
- memory storing instructions, which when executed by the one or more processors, cause the computing system:
- detect, using the one or more sensors, data corresponding to a first object of a plurality of objects in an environment;
- determine, using the one or more processors, a location of an electronic device in the environment;
- identify, using one or more processors, the first object based on the data corresponding to the first object and the location of the electronic device in the environment;
- and
- present, using the one or more displays, a representation of one or more of the plurality of objects in the environment including the first object using a list of the plurality of objects in the environment that is stored in the memory.
A non-transitory computer readable storage medium storing one or more programs, the one or more programs comprising instructions, which when executed by one or more processors of an electronic device, cause the electronic device to:
- detect, using one or more sensors, data corresponding to a first object of a plurality of objects in an environment;
- determine, using the one or more processors, a location of the electronic device in the environment;
- identify, using one or more processors, the first object based on the data corresponding to the first object and the location of the electronic device in the environment;
- and
- present, using one or more displays, a representation of one or more of the plurality of objects in the environment including the first object using a list of the plurality of objects in the environment that is stored in memory.
