Abstract
A vehicle routing system and method involves coordinating a route for a vehicle to a geographic point of interest based at least in part on monitoring an action of a rider of a vehicle to determine if the action is among a plurality of actions classified as a rewardable action, and presenting a reward-based routing to the vehicle within a transportation system upon detection that the action of the rider is a rewardable action.

A method for coordinating a route for a vehicle in a transportation system, the method comprising:
- monitoring an action of a rider of the vehicle;
- classifying the action as a rewardable action of a plurality of actions;
- coordinating the route for the vehicle to a geographic point of interest;
- and
- presenting, for the rider, a reward-based routing alternative to the route in response to classifying the action as the rewardable action.

- a monitoring system configured to monitor an action of a rider of a vehicle and determine if the action is among a plurality of actions classified as a rewardable action;
- a routing system configured to coordinate a route for the vehicle to a geographic point of interest;
