User interface automation and monitoring integrating application event listeners

A computer program product storing computer program code for a listener service, the computer program code executable by at least one processor to cause the listener service to provide one or more event listeners for change event management and to cause operations comprising:

• initiating, by the listener service, the one or more event listeners specific to at least one target application;
• specifying, by the listener service, change events for the one or more event listeners that occur in the at least one target application;
• and
• receiving, by the listener service from the one or more event listeners, the change events in the target application, based on the specified change events, to capture the change events.
