A foldable display device includes a display panel including a display area and a non-display area, wherein the display panel includes a light-emitting element, an encapsulation layer disposed on the light-emitting element, and color filters disposed on the encapsulation layer; and a cover window assembly disposed on the display panel, wherein the cover window assembly includes a protective film and a multi-functional layer disposed under the protective film, wherein the multi-functional layer includes: a light-transmissive portion overlapping the display area of the display panel; and a light-blocking portion overlapping both the display area and the non-display area of the display panel, wherein the light-blocking portion has a light-transmittance lower than a light-transmittance of the light-transmissive portion.
