Abstract
A LIDAR module includes: a light emitting device configured to emit a light signal in accordance with a combination of a plurality of partial signals; and one or more processors configured to: encode a sequence of symbols, wherein each symbol of the sequence of symbols is associated with a respective combination of the plurality of partial signals, and control the light emitting device to combine the plurality of partial signals as a function of the encoded sequence of symbols to emit the light signal.
Claims24
A LIDAR module comprising:
- a light emitting device configured to emit a light signal in accordance with a combination of a plurality of partial signals;
- and
- one or more processors configured to:
- encode a sequence of symbols, wherein each symbol of the sequence of symbols is associated with a respective combination of the plurality of partial signals, and
- control the light emitting device to combine the plurality of partial signals as a function of the encoded sequence of symbols to emit the light signal,
- wherein the combination of the plurality of partial signals comprises a subtractive combination of the plurality of partial signals.

A method of emitting light in a LIDAR module, the method comprising:
- encoding a sequence of symbols, each symbol being associated with a respective combination of a plurality of partial signals;
- and
- controlling the combination of the plurality of partial signals as a function of the encoded sequence of symbols to emit the light signal,
- wherein the combination of the plurality of partial signals comprises one of an additive combination of the plurality of partial signals, or a subtractive combination of the plurality of partial signals.
A LIDAR module comprising:
- a light emitting device configured to emit a light signal in accordance with a combination of a plurality of partial signals;
- and
- one or more processors configured to:
- encode a sequence of symbols, wherein each symbol of the sequence of symbols is associated with a respective combination of the plurality of partial signals, and
- control the light emitting device to combine the plurality of partial signals as a function of the encoded sequence of symbols to emit the light signal, wherein the combination of the plurality of partial signals comprises an additive combination of the plurality of partial signals.
