A method of reducing leukemia relapse in a subject in need thereof, the method comprising administering to the subject, a Protocadherin-9 (PCDH9) inhibitor, wherein the PCDH9 inhibitor is selected from the group consisting of an antisense molecule, an siRNA molecule, an shRNA molecule, a B-cell directed antibody and a nanoparticle loaded with PCDH9-specific interfering RNA.
A method to inhibit or reverse hematological cancer cell colonization of the central nervous system (CNS) in a subject in need thereof, the method comprising administering to the subject, a PCDH9 inhibitor, wherein the PCDH9 inhibitor is selected from the group consisting of an antisense molecule, an siRNA molecule, an shRNA molecule, a B-cell directed antibody and a nanoparticle loaded with PCDH9-specific interfering RNA.
