Systems and methods for detecting and alerting to probable leaks in an electronic display assembly are provided. An electronic display assembly includes an electronic display, a differential pressure sensor fluidly connected to an ambient environment and an internal area partitioned from an ambient environment, and one or more fans located within, or fluidly connected with, the internal area. Differential pressure readings are monitored, and when outside an acceptable parameter, a speed of the fan(s) is temporarily increased. Additional differential pressure reading(s) are taken, and where they remain outside the acceptable parameter, an electronic notification regarding the probable leak is generated and transmitted.
