Edgelit Lighting Assembly with Adjustable Light Distribution

A lighting assembly for providing multiple adjustable light distribution patterns comprising;

• a. two or more light source channels, each being both spatially separated and electrically controllable;
• b. a controller for independently adjusting electrical power to each light source channel;
• c. a primary transmissive optical element fixedly arranged with respect to a first light source channel and second light source channel such that;
• i. light from a first light source channel is input into a first input face of the optical element, internally reflected within the optical element, and output from an adjacent face of the optical element which acts as an output face.
• ii. light input from a second light source channel is input into a second input face and emitted from the output face;
• iii. light from each light source channel is redirected by the primary transmissive optical element and has a unique light distribution output upon exiting the output face;
• and
• wherein electrical power is proportionally allocated among light source channels to regulate light distribution patterns of the lighting assembly.
