Abstract

A resin composition that can provide: a molded article that has a small blending amount of resin material derived from a fossil resource and that has a good paintability with respect to water-based paints; and a molded article thereof. A resin composition for a molded article to be painted with a water-based paint, the resin composition containing a thermoplastic resin (A), and a filler (B) derived from natural materials at a mass ratio ((A)/(B)) of 50/50-30/70, wherein the filler (B) contains at least one filler selected from an inorganic filler (B1) derived from a biomineral and an organic filler (B2) derived from a plant.
