The present invention relates to 2-aryl-pent-4-enal or 2-alkenyl-pent-4-enal derivatives as aroma chemicals. Specifically, it relates to the use of 2-aryl-pent-4-enal or 2-alkenyl-pent-4-enal derivatives as aroma chemicals and also for enhancing and/or modifying the aroma of a composition.
