Abstract
Provided are a paper holding mechanism and a paper shredder. In the paper holding mechanism, a placement chamber is disposed in the housing. The placement chamber includes a conveyor section and a placement section that communicate with each other. An included angle is set between the conveyor section and the placement section. The housing is provided with a first paper inlet at the conveyor section. The first paper inlet communicates with the conveyor section. The paper feed assembly is disposed on the housing. The first paper press member is disposed on the housing. The width of the placement section at the first paper press member is variable.

A paper holding mechanism, comprising:
- a housing, wherein a placement chamber is disposed in the housing, the placement chamber comprises a conveyor section and a placement section that communicate with each other, an included angle is set between the conveyor section and the placement section, the housing is provided with a first paper inlet at the conveyor section, and the first paper inlet communicates with the conveyor section;
- a paper feed assembly disposed on the housing;
- and
- a first paper press member disposed on the housing, wherein a width of the placement section at the first paper press member is variable.
