Abstract
Disclosed herein are dosing regimens of ceftibuten in combination with a β-lactamase inhibitor. The dosing regimens include ceftibuten at a dose higher than 400 mg per day (for example, 400 mg BID, 600 mg QD or BID, or 800 mg QD or BID).
Claims26
A pharmaceutical composition, comprising:
- ceftibuten in an amount greater than 400 mg;
- and
- a β-lactamase inhibitor.
A method of treating a bacterial infection, comprising co-administering to a subject in need thereof ceftibuten in an amount greater than 400 mg and a β-lactamase inhibitor.
