Anticancer composition inducing cell senescence and cell death

A method for inhibiting or treating or ameliorating tumor or cancer disease in a subject in need thereof, comprising:

• administering an effective amount of a compound represented by Chemical Formula 1 below or a salt thereof as an active ingredient to a subject in need thereof:
• wherein in Chemical Formula 1 above,
• R1 is a C1-5 alkyl, a C5-6 cyclic alkyl, a C5-6 cyclic alkyl containing at least one heteroatom of O or N, a C6-12 aryl or a C5-6 heteroaryl containing at least one heteroatom of O or N,
• wherein R2 is hydrogen, ethyl, acetyl, acetoxy, carboxy, benzoyloxy or 3,4,5-trihydroxybenzoyloxy,
• wherein R3 is hydrogen, hydroxy, methyl, methoxy, acetoxy, carboxy or benzoyloxy,
• wherein R4 is hydrogen, hydroxy, methyl, methoxy, acetoxy, carboxy or benzoyloxy, and
• wherein R5 is hydrogen, hydroxy, methyl, methoxy, acetoxy, carboxy or benzoyloxy.
