Abstract
The present disclosure relates to chewable gel products containing a gel carrier and an active pharmaceutical ingredient (API), where the chewable gel product has an acceptable taste.

A method for producing a chewable gel product, comprising:
- a. formulating a liquid composition comprising 1-3 wt. % of a gel carrier, 15-25 wt. % water, and an active pharmaceutical ingredient, wherein the gel carrier comprises carrageenan, pectin, agar, modified starch, acacia gum, alginic acid, locust bean gum, derivatives thereof, and any combination thereof, and;
- b. gelating the liquid composition at a temperature sufficient to yield a chewable gel product.
