Abstract
A ceramide growth promoting agent includes ceramides represented by the general formula (1), in which, in the general formula (1), R1 represents a monovalent hydrocarbon group having 13 to 21 carbon atoms which may have a hydroxyl group or a double bond, and Z represents an acyl group having 14 to 24 carbon atoms which may have a hydrogen atom, an acetyl group or a hydroxyl group:

A ceramide growth promoting agent comprising ceramides represented by the following general formula (1),
- wherein, in the general formula (1), R1 represents a monovalent hydrocarbon group having 13 to 21 carbon atoms which may have a hydroxyl group or a double bond, and Z represents an acyl group having 14 to 24 carbon atoms which may have a hydrogen atom, an acetyl group or a hydroxyl group.
