Abstract
A suturing device includes a body configured to be inserted into a surgical site of a patient. A suture retainer is positioned within the body and configured to receive a suture so that an end of the suture extends from the body and is accessible within the surgical site of the patient.

A suturing device comprising:
- a body configured to be inserted into a surgical site of a patient;
- a suture retainer positioned within the body and configured to receive a suture so that an end of the suture extends from the body and is accessible within the surgical site of the patient;
- and
- a cartridge, wherein the suture is wrapped around the cartridge and configured to be moved from around the cartridge to around the suture retainer.

A suturing device comprising:
- a body configured to be inserted into a surgical site of a patient;
- a plurality of pegs extending from the body and configured to receive a suture so that an end of the suture extends from the body and is accessible within the surgical site of the patient;
- and
- a cartridge configured to be positioned between the plurality of pegs, wherein the suture is wrapped around the cartridge and configured to be moved from around the cartridge to around the plurality of pegs, wherein the cartridge includes cartridge notch, wherein at least one of the plurality of pegs is received in the cartridge notch when the cartridge is positioned between the plurality of pegs.
