Reducing resource consumption for cross-tenant kernel services

A system comprising:

• one or more computers;
• and
• a computer-readable medium coupled to the one or more computers having instructions stored thereon which, when executed by the one or more computers, cause the one or more computers to perform operations comprising:
• receiving, at a first tenant of a kernel service, a message from a first application in a first multiple-application landscape;
• providing data from the message to a core component of the kernel service that communicates with multiple tenants of the kernel service;
• storing, by the core component of the kernel service, data from the message in a core storage area accessible by multiple tenants of the kernel service;
• performing, by the first tenant of the kernel service in the first multiple-application landscape, a first processing of the message using data in the core storage area for which the first tenant of the kernel service is authorized;
• and
• initiating, by the core component, a second processing of the message by a second tenant of the kernel service in a second multiple-application landscape using data in the core storage area for which the second tenant of the kernel service is authorized, wherein the second tenant of the kernel service and the first tenant of the kernel service are serviced by a same datacenter.

A non-transitory, computer-readable medium coupled to one or more processors and having instructions stored thereon which, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to perform operations, the operations comprising:

• receiving, at a first tenant of a kernel service, a message from a first application in a first multiple-application landscape;
• providing data from the message to a core component of the kernel service that communicates with multiple tenants of the kernel service;
• storing, by the core component of the kernel service, data from the message in a core storage area accessible by multiple tenants of the kernel service;
• performing, by the first tenant of the kernel service in the first multiple-application landscape, a first processing of the message using data in the core storage area for which the first tenant of the kernel service is authorized;
• and
• initiating, by the core component, a second processing of the message by a second tenant of the kernel service in a second multiple-application landscape using data in the core storage area for which the second tenant of the kernel service is authorized, wherein the second tenant of the kernel service and the first tenant of the kernel service are serviced by a same datacenter.
