Abstract

A water tank for a domestic appliance, having a connection for a filter cartridge, wherein an annular tank sealing surface is provided on the tank base for the sealed connection of the filter cartridge and the tank sealing surface encloses a tank passage opening for the water to flow out of the filter cartridge through the wall of the tank base to the domestic appliance, wherein the tank sealing surface has a varying radius along its circumference in relation to a central axis, such that the tank sealing surface comprises radial indentations and/or radial protuberances, wherein the radial protuberances and/or radial indentations of the tank sealing surface have a round profile.
