Abstract
The invention provides a Pregnancy-specific glycoprotein (for example PSG1) for use in a method of treating neurological disorders or stimulating survival or recovery of tissue damaged by a cerebrovascular event or brain trauma in a subject. The PSG1 may be Fc-tagged PSG1.

A method of stimulating survival or recovery of tissue damaged by a cerebrovascular event in a human comprising administering a therapeutically effective amount of Pregnancy specific glycoprotein 1 (PSG1) to the human.
