Abstract
A composition in which L-ergothioneine (EGT) and S-ribosylhomocysteine (SRH) coexist makes it is possible to suppress coloring of the composition. A composition comprising EGT and SRH is prepared in which the content of SRH is reduced.

A composition comprising L-ergothioneine and S-ribosylhomocysteine, wherein a content of the S-ribosylhomocysteine is reduced.
A composition comprising L-ergothioneine and S-ribosylhomocysteine and having suppressed coloring of the composition, wherein a content of the S-ribosylhomocysteine is 15 parts by mass or less with respect to 100 parts by mass of the L-ergothioneine.
A method for producing a composition comprising L-ergothioneine and S-ribosylhomocysteine and having suppressed coloring, the method comprising the step of reducing a content of the S-ribosylhomocysteine.
A method for imparting a coloring-suppressing effect to a composition comprising L-ergothioneine and S-ribosylhomocysteine, wherein a content of the S-ribosylhomocysteine is 15 parts by mass or less with respect to 100 parts by mass of the L-ergothioneine.
