A composition, comprising:
- an adhesive matrix comprising olanzapine in combination with a fatty alcohol, a fatty ester, or a combination thereof, wherein an average flux rate of olanzapine of at least 3 μg/cm2/hr is achieved continuously throughout a period of at least 3 days after administration of the composition.

A composition, comprising:
- (i) at least about 40 wt. % of a pressure-sensitive adhesive;
- (ii) between about 3-15 wt. % of a fatty acid ester, a fatty alcohol, or a combination thereof;

- wherein an average flux rate of olanzapine of at least 3 jug/cm2/hr is achieved continuously throughout a period of at least 3 days after application of the composition to the skin.
