Abstract
The application refers to an ultrasound system that comprises an ultrasound hardware controller (14) for ultrasound data acquisition. The ultrasound system further comprises an object detector (54) comprising a classifier (58) that is configured to detect data representing an object in an input data set generated by the ultrasound hardware controller (14) and that is fed to the object detector (54).
Claims14
An ultrasound system comprising an ultrasound hardware controller for ultrasound data acquisition applying acquisition parameter values for acquisition parameters that include at least a focal depth, an ultrasound data processor for ultrasound data processing and an image processing and display unit for image data processing and displaying,
- further comprising an object detector comprising a classifier that is configured
- to detect data representing an object to be detected in an input data set generated by and received from the ultrasound hardware controller,
- to generate an object detection signal representing a likelihood that an object to be detected is represented by the input data set generated by the ultrasound hardware controller and
- to feed object detection signal back to the ultrasound hardware controller for adapting acquisition parameter values for a front end depending on the object detection signal generated by the object detector.
A method of detecting an object in ultrasound data, said method comprising the steps of:
- acquiring ultrasound data;
- generating ultrasound data sets comprising analog-to-digital converted ultrasound data;
- object detection by way of analyzing the ultrasound data sets by means of a neural network that is trained with training data sets containing ultrasound data comprising an object, in particular a marker, to be detected, and that is adapted to generate a prediction representing a likelihood that the object is represented in the analyzed ultrasound data set;
- generating a feedback signal that depends on the prediction;
- and
- using the feedback signal for adapting acquisition parameter values for further ultrasound data acquisition.
